Privacy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
This privacy policy explains how Naninani Labs Limited, doing business as Familiar Labs, handles information collected through this website.
We keep this simple: the Familiar signup and Guv access request are separate. We send Familiar updates only after you confirm the signup. A Guv access request receives only the transactional emails needed to acknowledge or complete that request. We do not sell your email address, share it with advertisers, or use it for ad targeting.
Who We Are
This website is operated by Naninani Labs Limited, doing business as Familiar Labs, a company registered in England and Wales.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@familiarlabs.org.
Information We Collect
When you use this website, we may collect:
- your email address, if you submit it through the signup form
- basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and protect the website
- anonymised or aggregated website analytics provided by Cloudflare
We do not collect payment information through this website.
How We Use Your Email Address
We use your email address only for the purpose you chose:
- after you confirm the Familiar signup, send occasional updates about our work and ring availability
- acknowledge a Guv access request and send setup information when that address has access
- manage each list and avoid duplicate entries
- respond to any privacy or support request you send us
We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Familiar update emails include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops those updates, but does not stop transactional Guv access or setup email that you separately request.
You can ask us to remove your email address at any time.
Website Hosting, Security, And Bot Protection
This website is hosted using Cloudflare.
Cloudflare may process basic technical information, such as IP address, browser information, request metadata, and security signals, to deliver the website, protect it from abuse, and provide security services.
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated bot submissions. Turnstile is used only for security and spam prevention. It is not used by us for advertising or profiling.
Cloudflare's Turnstile materials state that Turnstile is designed to distinguish humans from bots and that its signals are used for bot detection rather than ad targeting. Cloudflare Web Analytics is described by Cloudflare as privacy-first analytics that does not use cookies or localStorage and does not fingerprint visitors for analytics.

Analytics
We may use Cloudflare's basic website analytics to understand overall website traffic and performance.
These analytics help us understand things like page views, approximate traffic patterns, and site performance. We do not use website analytics to identify individual visitors, retarget people with ads, or sell visitor data.
Legal Basis
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- consent, when you confirm that you want Familiar email updates
- legitimate interests, where necessary to operate, secure, monitor, and improve the website
How Long We Keep Information
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it or until we no longer need it for the purpose for which you provided it.
Technical and analytics information handled through Cloudflare is retained according to Cloudflare's systems and our Cloudflare account settings.
Sharing Information
We only share information where needed to operate this website, the signup list, and requested email delivery, including with service providers such as Cloudflare and Resend.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell personal information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
